We need at least 48 hours’ notice to get your made-to-order cake scheduled, baked, and decorated, but our schedule is first-come-first-served and often books days or weeks in advance so more notice may be required. We recommend preordering early for the best chances. In the event that we’re booked for your desired pickup date, we have premade cakes in-store till sold out every day that you can choose from without preordering.

Due to preorder volume we are only able to accept preorders via phone or email. This enables us to process more preorders, serving more people, while keeping service as fast as possible for in-store guests.

Same-day pickups: To order a premade cake for same-day pickup see the available cakes on our online ordering page here, or stop by the bakery to choose your favorite from our cake case. We usually have more cakes available in-store that aren’t shown online, so visit the bakery for a wider selection.

Of course! You can always preorder for pickup on a future date by calling 704-525-0145. We may sometimes be busy helping other customers, so leave a voicemail and we’ll call you back by the end of the day during normal business hours. Due to high call volume we’re not able to make any exceptions in the event you’re unable to get through.

We only make our own designs shown on this page, but you can customize any of our made-to-order cakes (except Tres Leches) by size and flavor, and our house designs can also be customized by your choice of color(s).

We don’t make gluten-free or vegan cakes at this time, but see all the gluten-free and vegan goods that we do make here.

We do! Any of our designs can be made into a gender reveal cake with pink or blue vanilla diplomat filling. Just mention when confirming the details of your preorder that you’d like to make it a gender reveal.

We don’t currently make shaped cakes. Our cakes are available in a variety of round sizes, and our Tres Leches Cake comes in a rectangular tin.

All of our cakes are single-tier, so we recommend preordering a variety of individual cakes for your wedding or event. We have customizable designs for just about any aesthetic.

Most cake preorders can be modified or canceled with at least 48 hours’ notice, with some changes requiring more notice. To cancel or modify a preorder either email hello@suarezbakery.com, call 704-525-0145, or stop by the bakery.

After picking up your cake, remember to keep the cake box level to avoid damaging the cake inside. We recommend transporting your cake on a level seat or the floorboard of your car, driving slow to ensure the box doesn’t slide.

We don't add preservatives to any of our goods, so we recommend keeping our cakes refrigerated in their bakery box or an air-tight container—for up to three days—until thirty minutes to an hour before serving. Any leftovers should also be refrigerated in either an air-tight container or bakery box wrapped in cling film.

Condensation may form on a cake during refrigeration, depending on temperature and humidity; this is normal, will not adversely affect the cake, and will generally evaporate when left at room temperature for about thirty minutes to an hour.
