FAQ

ORDERS/PREORDERS

  • We can bake only so many goods each day, so our preorder schedule is first-come-first-served and can fill up at any time. The more notice you give the more likely it will be that we have availability.

    All goods have minimum notice requirements and are subject to availability. This means we can accept a preorder only if a preorder is placed with adequate notice for the item(s) and our baking schedule has availability on the desired pickup date.

    Preorders are guaranteed only once completed with all details and full prepayment.

  • Our schedule can book weeks or months in advance, and we can't guarantee availability without a preorder so if we have availability we always recommend booking right away.

  • Due to preorder volume we are only able to accept preorders via phone or email. This enables us to process more preorders, serving more people, while keeping service as fast as possible for in-store guests.

    To submit a preorder request, see our preorder menu. After receiving your request, we’ll follow up to confirm availability and, pending availability, place your preorder. You can also preorder at 704-525-0145 or inquire about a preorder at hello@suarezbakery.com.

    Submitted request forms do not constitute a preorder—they just express your interest in placing a preorder so we can follow up to confirm availability and place a preorder. We’re happy to answer any questions via email, but all preorders must be finalized and prepaid in full.

    We do our best to stay in contact during the preorder process to ensure that your preorder is completed, but due to the volume of requests we receive, once we've responded to inquiries we’re unable to follow up again to provide reminders.

  • Fear not! While we may not always have preorder availability on your desired date, we probably have similar in-store options that will work just as well in a pinch. We recommend visiting the bakery to see what’s available that day. You can also see what’s in stock on our online ordering page, although our full inventory is not always available online so visit the bakery for a wider selection.

  • Most preorders can be modified, rescheduled, or canceled with at least two days' notice by emailing hello@suarezbakery.com or calling 704-525-0145. After confirming the modification/cancellation, any applicable refund will typically be issued in the original form of payment.

    Since preorders are baked just for you, we're unable to provide refunds for preorders with less than two days' notice. We’re unable to make exceptions for any reason including Covid.

  • For maximum freshness we recommend picking up your preorder on the scheduled day and time, but you can always pick it up later in the day during store hours. Pickups are not available after-hours.

    We hold preorders until the next day, but since we don’t use preservatives most items will not stay fresh much longer than this and will be thrown away after an appropriate amount of time. We are unable to refund preorders that are not picked up on the scheduled day.

THE GOODS

  • We don’t make custom cakes, custom cupcakes, cake pops, or tiered cakes, but our made-to-order cakes can be customized for any occasion.

    Focusing on our own designs allows us to focus on what we do best. It also simplifies our preorder, baking, and decorating flow, enabling us to better meet demand, which means greater availability for you and our goods getting into the hands (and bellies) of more people.

  • As it turns out we aren’t able to modify recipes, but we do have items to accommodate most diets. See our dietary list here.

  • Yes! We take all necessary precautions to prevent cross-contamination, but we’re not a nut-free bakery so we can never guarantee that any item will be completely allergen-free.

  • Yes! Cuban bread is available every Saturday at 1pm till sold out.

  • We don’t add preservatives to any of our baked goods, so here are some rough guidelines to make sure you enjoy them at their best:

    Doughnuts—best enjoyed same-day
    Pastries—best enjoyed same-day
    Cuban Bread—best enjoyed same-day
    Cookies—around 3 days
    Cakes/cupcakes/cold desserts—around 3 days (keep refrigerated)
